Being: A series of Self Portraits

These series of images are a collection that I refer to as self portraits. Typically when one thinks of self portraits we think of the traditional portrait where one stands directly in front of the camera, and poses with a radiating smile. But in this case I was intrigued by the idea of connecting the study of metaphysics and capturing what I perceive to be the “self”.  When I think of self I think within, something we cannot physically see with the naked eye. My photographs explore this concept and the idea of existence and seeing what really is the sould of a person rather than the bodily exterior.
